Coronavirus update

We are saddened to inform you that we have to postpone our My Ballet classes until further notice due to the serious threat of the Corona virus which is currently escalating. We have to avoid gatherings and social contact as much as possible not only for ourselves but for those around us.

This is a very difficult time for all of us and we want you to know that we take your health and safety very seriously hence this drastic measure.

We intend staying in touch with you and are available to give support where it is needed. Please never hesitate to contact us even if only when you are feeling low.

We are working on a class DVD and will be offering an online class and film clips for home practice.

If you are interested please let us know. We send you our love and wish you health , peace and connectedness!

Message from Artistic Director Carla Steenkamp Sheills ARAD

You are welcome at whatever age or ability. The way I work is accessible to everyone. My most mature pupil is 84 years old and as a child took lessons with Miss Flora Fairbain who was also Moira Shearer’s first Ballet teacher. We are all very proud of her. Several dancers are in their late 70s and are joined in the same class with much younger dancers in their 20s and 30s.
If you would like to improve your awareness and your movement in general, your balance and posture and mood, there is no better way in which to achieve this than through the classical art of Ballet. If you have new resolutions with regards to your mental and physical health and wellbeing, this could well be suitable.
